I was told by the old lady I bought this from that it was used for heating up your hats to take the wrinkles out of them to put them back into shape. It stands about 12 inches tall and warms up when you plug it in. It is made from cast aluminum and would shine up nicely. It would make a nice display item in a clothing store or you could use it to heat up your hat before you head outside, it works well."
